A binary operation $\oplus $ on real numbers is defined by $x\oplus y=xy+x+y$for any two real numbers x and y . The value of $(-\tfrac{3}{4})\oplus 6$ is

Option A: 

$-\tfrac{9}{2}$

Option B: 

$-\tfrac{3}{4}$

Option C: 

$\tfrac{3}{4}$

Option D: 

$\tfrac{45}{4}$

$\begin{align}  & (-\tfrac{3}{4})\oplus 6=(-\tfrac{3}{4})(6)+(-\tfrac{3}{4})+6 \\ & =-\tfrac{9}{2}-\tfrac{3}{4}+6 \\ & =\tfrac{-18-3+24}{4} \\ & =\tfrac{3}{4} \end{align}$
