Option A:

-1

Option B:

-2

Option C:

-3

Option D:

-4

Jamb Maths Solution:

$\begin{align}  & \text{Coordinate of a mid}\text{point is given as} \\ & (x,y)=\left( \tfrac{{{x}_{1}}+{{x}_{2}}}{2},\tfrac{{{y}_{1}}+{{y}_{2}}}{2} \right) \\ & x=\frac{1-k+2}{2}=k----(i) \\ & y=\frac{-4+k+1}{2}----(ii) \\ & \text{Using equation (}i\text{)} \\ & \frac{3-k}{2}=-k \\ & 3-k=-2k \\ & k=-3 \\\end{align}$
