$\begin{align}  & 2y=4x-8 \\ & \text{Let }x=0 \\ & 2y=-8 \\ & y=-4 \\ & \text{Also let }y=0 \\ & 2y=4x-8 \\ & 0=4x-8 \\ & 4x=8 \\ & x=2 \\ & \text{Coordinate of the intercept} \\ & ({{x}_{1}},{{y}_{1}})=(0,-4) \\ & ({{x}_{2}},{{y}_{2}})=(2,0) \\ & \text{Midpoint of the line}=\left( \frac{{{x}_{1}}+{{x}_{2}}}{2},\frac{{{y}_{1}}+{{y}_{2}}}{2} \right) \\ & =\left( \frac{0+2}{2},\frac{-4+0}{2} \right) \\ & =\left( 1,2 \right) \\\end{align}$
