Jambmaths question:

$\begin{align}  & \text{If }y=x\sin x,\text{ find }\frac{dy}{dx} \\ & \text{(A) }\sin x+x\cos x\text{ (B) }\sin x+\cos x\text{ (C) }\cos x-x\sin x\text{  (D) }\cos x+x\sin x \\\end{align}$

Jamb Maths Solution:

$\begin{align}  & y=x\sin x \\ & \text{Using product rule } \\ & \frac{dy}{dx}=u\frac{dv}{dx}+v\frac{du}{dx} \\ & \frac{dy}{dx}=x\frac{d}{dx}(\sin x)+\sin x\frac{d}{dx}(x) \\ & \frac{dy}{dx}=x\cos x+\sin x=\sin x+x\cos x \\\end{align}$
